The LATITUDE® Patient Management system is designed to help you deliver more comprehensive cardiac care to your patients. The following list of questions and answers addresses the most frequently asked questions by doctors and allied healthcare professionals. What resources are available to patients if they need assistance while setting up their Communicator at home?Patient education materials are available, including written materials and instructional videos. In addition, Boston Scientific provides a hotline that is specifically dedicated to patients. Call 1.866.484.3268. Visit Clinical Resources to access selected patient education materials.What is LCS (LATITUDE Customer Support)?LATITUDE Customer Support is a team of highly trained professionals dedicated to providing ongoing, high quality technical support to LATITUDE patients, clinicians and the Boston Scientific sales team.What resources are available for Spanish-speaking patients?The LATITUDE Patient Support Hotline is staffed with consultants who are fluent in Spanish. Additionally, for patients who speak other languages, we have a translation service that we can bring on the line to help with the call.Does this new launch of LATITUDE include EMR integration?LATITUDE is currently able to integrate with any EMR system. Learn more about EMR Integration »When will additional phone line capabilities (cell phone, broadband or VOIP) be added?Currently, LATITUDE works with an analog phone line or a DSL line with a filter. We are working on our next generation communicator, and are prioritizing which capabilities should be incorporated into that product.Is there reimbursement for(red and yellow alerts?Alerts may be billable if they result in actions that are:1) Medically necessary 2) Prompt a clinician to review and document an interrogation and print a report [technical component], and 3) Completed with physician interpretation and signature [professional component]. Use codes 93741 or 93743 if the alert makes it medically necessary for a physician to perform a complete electronic analysis as described by either of these codes. A physician should not bill for an alert unless they are the primary follower of the patient's device. Consult with your local payer for guidance. What is the future of LATITUDE In-clinic?We are continuing to support existing customers that use LATITUDE in-clinic and are not adding any new clinics at this time. In-clinic will remain a separate product in 2007; we have not made a decision regarding future alternatives for managing In-clinic patients.Which devices are LATITUDE-enabled?In total, there are 32 models of market-released devices FDA-approved, representing 90% of our implanted base in the US.
